Web Design

We design and build websites for contractors and professional service businesses across Greater Los Angeles that need the site to do a job — rank for the searches that matter, load fast on a phone, and turn a visitor with a problem into a booked call.

Every site built from your market and your customers outward — never from a template inward.

A website is a salesperson that never sleeps. Build it like one.

Built to be found

Site structure, page hierarchy, headings and schema are designed for search before the first pixel is placed. A beautiful site nobody finds is an expensive brochure.

Built to convert

Phone number where the thumb lands. One clear action per page. Proof — reviews, photos, results — above the fold. The layout exists to produce a call, not to win a design award.

Built to load

Compressed images, no render-blocking bloat, caching configured properly. A site that takes four seconds on a phone loses half its visitors before the headline appears.

Built to be yours

WordPress on your own hosting, with your own logins. No proprietary platform, no monthly ransom, no rebuild when you want to leave.

Why does design matter?

What a good website actually does

Most service business websites were built to look professional and then left alone. They load slowly, say nothing specific, bury the phone number, and rank for the company name and nothing else. The site we build is the one your Google Ads and SEO send people to — which means it decides whether any of that spend turns into a call.

The first impression is the phone

Someone searching “emergency electrician Glendale” at 9pm does not read your About page. They need the number, proof you are real, and a reason to trust you — in the first screen.

A page for every service

One page that lists everything you do ranks for nothing. A page for each service, in each area you serve, ranks for the searches that produce work.

Speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor

Google measures it. Customers feel it. A fast site ranks better and converts better, and most agency-built sites fail both tests.

Proof before promises

Reviews, real project photos, named results. A visitor decides whether you are credible in seconds, and stock photography tells them you are not.

How we design and build

Design agencies build sites that look good in a portfolio. Marketing agencies build sites that get traffic. We build the site that does both — and then measure it by the calls it produces, because that is the only number you actually care about.

Search demand shapes the sitemap

Before wireframes, we pull the queries your customers use across Los Angeles County and Orange County. The page list comes from that data, not from what other agencies’ sites happen to have.

Designed for the thumb

Most of your visitors are on a phone, often outdoors, often with a problem. Every layout decision starts there and scales up to desktop — not the other way round.

Schema and structure built in

LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ schema on every page, proper heading hierarchy, clean URLs. The technical SEO is part of the build, not a plugin bolted on later.

Tracked from launch

Call tracking and form attribution go in before the site goes live. From day one you know which pages produce enquiries and which need work.

What this looks like in practice

Mr. Fridge

Commercial refrigeration — WA & TX

A repair business whose site said “appliance repair” and attracted the cheap residential calls it did not want. We rebuilt it around commercial refrigeration — city-by-service structure, schema on every page, phone number in every viewport — and it became the site that carried the business into five markets.

Northwest Aviation Medicine

Aviation medicine, made visible

A clinic with real credentials and a site that hid them. We rebuilt it around the niche — pilot medicals, DOT exams, three locations — with a page for each exam type, provider pages that showed the authority, and a structure Google could read as the local destination for aviation medicine.

our work process

From brief to launch in six to eight weeks

week 1

Discovery

Your customers, your services, your competitors, and the searches that bring people to you. The sitemap comes out of this, not out of a template.
weeks 2-3

Design

Mobile first. Homepage and one service page designed and approved before anything else, so the system is right before we scale it.
weeks 4-6

Build

WordPress, on your hosting. Every page with schema, proper headings and tracking. Speed tested against Google's thresholds before you see it.
weeks 7-8

Launch & Handover

Redirects mapped from the old site, Search Console submitted, and a walkthrough so you can edit pages yourself without calling us.

who we build for

Web design by industry

A dental practice and a roofing company need different sites. Not different colors — different structure, different proof, different calls to action. A one-size template fails both.

Contractors & home services

Phone-first layouts, emergency messaging, service area pages, and project photos that prove you have done this before. Built for someone on a phone with a problem.

HVAC & refrigeration

Commercial and residential separated so neither dilutes the other. Equipment brand pages most competitors never build. Seasonal landing pages ready before the season.

Medical & dental

Provider pages that carry credentials, procedure pages that answer real questions, online booking that works, and accessibility done properly rather than as an afterthought.

Professional services

Longer consideration means more content. Case studies, process pages and a clear path from “researching” to “booking a consultation” without friction.

Los Angeles

Web design across Greater Los Angeles

A site for a Los Angeles service business has to work for someone searching from Sherman Oaks, from Long Beach, and from a job site in Irvine — on a phone, in the sun, with one hand. We build the area pages, the local proof and the mobile experience that make the site feel local wherever the visitor is standing.

Areas we build for: Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Culver City, Downtown LA, Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Long Beach and Orange County.

Common questions about web design

01 How much does a website cost in Los Angeles?
Web design with Fabrika starts at $3,500 for a service business site. The final number depends on page count, integrations like booking or quoting tools, and whether we are writing the content.
Fixed scope, fixed price. You know the number before we start.
02 How long does it take?
Six to eight weeks from kickoff to launch for a typical service business site. Larger builds with many location or service pages run longer, and we tell you the timeline in the proposal.
The most common delay is content and photos from the client side. We plan for it.
03 Do you use WordPress?
Yes. It is the platform your next agency, your next hire and your future self can all work with. It runs on your hosting under your logins, and it does not lock you into anyone.
We avoid closed builders that hold your site hostage the day you stop paying them.
04 Will the site rank on Google?
It will be built to. Search demand shapes the page structure, every page carries schema and proper headings, and speed is tested against Google's thresholds before launch.
Ranking also needs ongoing work — reviews, content, citations — which is what our SEO service covers if you want it.
05 Do I own the website?
Completely. Domain, hosting, files, logins, content. If we part ways you keep everything and change nothing.
We would rather earn the next project than trap you into it.
06 Can I edit it myself?
Yes. Pages are built so you can change text, images and prices without touching code. We walk you through it at handover.
For structural changes or new page types, we are a call away.
07 Do you write the content?
We can, and for most service businesses we should. The copy is what makes a page rank and convert, and it needs to answer the searches we found in discovery.
If you have a writer, we brief them on structure and headings so the pages still do their job.
08 What about my existing site's rankings?
We map every old URL to its new equivalent and set redirects before launch, so nothing you already rank for is lost in the move.
A redesign done without this step is the most common way a business quietly loses half its traffic.
09 Do you host and maintain it?
We set up hosting in your name and can handle updates, backups and security monthly if you want us to. Or hand it to whoever you like.
Either way, the site is yours and the choice stays yours.
